On December 30, 2023, Russia asserted that Ukrainian attacks on Belgorod, a Russian provincial capital, resulted in the deaths of 14 individuals, including two children, and the injury of 108 others. The alleged attacks comprised of cluster bombs, Russia has said it will take revenge.
Beligorod is located on the Seversky Donetsk River, approximately 25 miles (approximately 40 km) north of the Ukrainian border.
The city’s footage shared on Russian social networks showed flaming cars and a thick layer of smoke rising from the wrecked structures.
Ukraine hasn’t said that it launched any strikes on Saturday, and it rarely talks about attacks on Russian territory.
